The heart wants what it wants, it can’t stop loving them no matter what yo do, you could never force your heart to stop loving someone. There may be a billion reasons why you want to let go, but no amount of logic or reasons can force your heart to give up, it wants what it wants. You can’t stop the feelings you have for someone, you can’t really stop loving them when your heart is still in love with them.
