I’m stronger because I don’t forgive those who aren’t sorry. Forgiving those who aren’t sorry is letting them get away with it. If someone stole your belongings, would you let them get away with it? If someone vandalizes your car, would you let them get away with it? If someone kidnapped or threatened your child would you let them get away with it? If someone attacks you on the street would you let them get away with it? I’m guessing “NO” would be the answer to all of these, so WHY let someone get away with neglecting you and treating you like utter crap? You can move on from what has happened without forgiving, but unless those individuals are sorry and want to make amends, you will always remember them and their deed in a negative light and you have therefore not truly forgiven them at all.
