As you were in a relationship with him, you must have made acquaintances with some of his friends over a period of time. Enjoy your life and have fun the way you used to. Drink your heart’s content and hang out with some interesting people.

  1. Do not contact him

If you still love him you will often feel the urge to contact him or get in touch with him. You should not do that as it will do no good to you. Reaching out to him will have no effect on him. You look at your phone contemplating to call him and you delete a mail you intend to send to him. You will go through these things but you have to control yourself and refrain from contacting him. Things which were important to you at one point only consume your space and cause you pain now. Throw them or burn them, just get rid of them.

Being single also mean that you enjoy a lot more freedom than you had when you were in a relationship. Use this freedom well and make the most of this time. Being on your own can turn out to be a lot of fun. There is nobody whom you need to think about before doing something and you are not bound by any restriction.

If you have loved someone sincerely, getting over him would be an uphill task. But, you cannot hold on to your feelings for someone who have no regard for them.
