  1. Spend enough time with your child

  1. Take interests in their interests

Take  an interest in what their interests are, this will make them proud of what they like. They might even do very well in their interests. It will encourage them and give them the necessary guidelines and push to do better at what they like.

Encourage them to develop their own opinions, thoughts and personalities. This will lead to an all round development of your children.

Don’t force them to do things that should be done, according to the ideal student or an ideal child, even if they hate it or don’t like it. Don’t overpower rules and restrictions on them. You wont allow your child to develop his or her own personality. Let them become what they are bound to become, irrespective of what the society or tradition says.   1. Inculcate a sense of healthy living in them

This is a very important thing, every parent must note. Inculcate sense of healthy living in them. Eating right kind of food, at right times. Making sure some physical activity is done every day, taking care of their skin, hair and their appearance, must be taught to them before they become adults.

  1. Teach them importance of giving

It is good to give and important to give back to society. Let them know about the homeless and needy people around. How it is their duty to share your things with them and give them something, so that they can survive in this cruel, cruel world. They must keep learning new things, be it a new language, music lessons, some art lessons, be it rock climbing, adventure sports or anything that they take an interest at. Learning is essential in this stage of life, and people learn quicker in their childhood, than they do in their adulthood.

If you pamper your children too much, they are bound to get spoilt and arrogant. Give them right amount of love and pampering, not too much, not too less.   1. Be patient with your little ones

It is important that you try to understand them. Be patient with your children, for they might have something to justify their action, or an apology for their faults. Give them a chance to speak and make up for what you are scolding them at. Nobody likes a parent who is always scolding and shouting at them. Hence, patience is essential when dealing with kids.
